Migrating blog...

VISIT MY NEW BLOG!! NOT USING XANGA ANYMORE!! ---->
http://jeffreylim.blogspot.com/

Here's the story...

Wasted almost an hour making and designing my own skin, when I finished, admiring how good the new layout will look, and when I click "Use this skin" for my blog, a new page comes out and a pop up says that skin is only for Premium user!! I couldn't believe it, SO frustrating, wasted all my time. Then I found out that Blogspot let me edit my own skin and all....so...by Wai Yee's recommendation, I moved my blog to Blogspot.
The new address is http://jeffreylim.blogspot.com/. So delete this page from your "My Favourites" list...and add this new one! See you over at the other blog...

Some thoughts from One Tree Hill..

For those who know me, I'm a big fan of the tv series One Tree Hill. The reason why I like the show so much is, it actually teaches you how to be a teenager in one way or another. You learn from the mistakes that those people make in the show as a teenager, you also learn about life, about love, about friends, and about loving one another, or even someone who is less then "normal". This show teaches you everything. And every episode there will also be quote from someone famous, or one of the character in the show will say something meaningful. And sometimes it really strikes you..

The newest episode, Season 3, episode 15, at the ending, Whitey said this:
"It's been 50 years, 50 long years since i've done this. Looking back on what i've said all those years ago, all the hopes and dreams I have, I've came to the conclusion that if , having things turn out the way you wanted them to, thats a measure of a successful life, then some would say that i'm a failure. The important thing is, not to be bitter of life's disappoinment. Learn to let go of the past. I recognised that everyday won't be sunny, but when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair. Remember, is only in the black of night you can see the stars. And no stars lead you back home. So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, cause most of the time the greatest rewards comes from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you won't get everything you wish for, maybe you'll get more then you ever could've imagined, who know's where life will take you, the road is long, and in the end, the journey is the destination."

I find what he said to be very meaningful and practical, make us think twice about life...

Anyway for all of my One Tree Hill fan friends out there, you can download the album "Friends with benefit" from torrents (Yes is a real album!!), here are a few nice songs that is in the album and also featured on this episode:

Jack's Mannequin - The Mixed Tape
Jack's Mannequin - Dark Blue
Haley James Scott/Bethany Joy Lenz - Halo

Here is a pic of the album cover..

Too much magazine..

My alarm woke up me up at 8.30 in the morning again, it seems to love doing that to me everyday, but what choice do I have? From Monday till Saturday, I've to wake up at this time to go to work! Bah, hate work, hate it caused I can't sleep until late. But don't get me wrong, after I get past the waking up part, I actually enjoy work, can learn alot, gain alot of experience.

Anyway, when my alarm rang this morning, I was supposed to go Church for Sunday service, but I decided I really need a break, and I was also way too tired, so I messaged Ben and told him not to fetch me already (But he still came though, even though I msged him at 8.40a.m.! Sorry ah!), and went back to sleep until around 12.30p.m.. Feeling guilty about it, but I couldn't get myself to get up. Maybe because of the wine I drank last night (Thanks Yeem!), make me slept so well, went to Alexis in Jln Ampang, supposed to watch one of the best bassist around, but unfortunately he was not there, but the rest of the band was also spectacular. What a tight band, all the musician so in sync, want to watch their performance again.

Anyway back to today, after lunch, I came home and I finally have the "guts" to clear my room, actually more of clearing and arranging all my magazines. It was stacked above my bed, and it looks like is about to collapse on my head anytime soon. So, I spent 3 hours just to clear my magazine off from above my bed, arranged it (actually I only arranged halfway, too many) and put it properly on my shelf. Here's a pic of my magazine collection in only 3 years...

Here's one stack of it...

And here's another!!

Yes all those are my magazine I've collected since 3 years ago, and now, I've a total of 195 magazines!! All this 195 magazine is made up of: HWM (HardWare Magazine), Stuff Malaysia, Stuff UK, Stuff US, T3 Malaysia, T3 UK, Popular Science, Chip Malaysia, Evo Malaysia, Hypertune, PC Plus Malaysia, PC Magazine Malaysia, iCar Car audio, Motor trader, Tech, FHM Malaysia, FHM US, FHM UK, Computer Active, PC.com, Maxim Singapore, Maxim US and Maxim UK.

If you're wondering how much I spent, well, each magazine is around RM8 - RM12, mostly is RM10 each. So let's just say average each is RM10, so that's RM10 x 195 = RM1950!! Whoah..I can almost buy an Ipod Video 60GB already or a Surefire M6!

So now the magazines above my bed is gone, for those who have came to my room before, I bet the only 2 thing you'll remember is that stack of magazine, and my computer. Well, this is how the place where my magazine supposed to be looks like now..

A new blog in town..

Lately I feel I've alot of time to spare, even though I'm working full time from 9.00a.m. till 5p.m. the past few weeks, I still feel that life is too boring, so I decided to start a blog after looking at Henry's blog. Still playing around with Xanga, looks simple. Will post a proper post soon..
